Acceptance Commitment Therapy is a ‘behavior therapy’. It’s about taking action, but not just any action. It’s about the kind of action that’s being led by your core values; you act like the person you would like to be. It’s about raising questions like; What would you like to stand for in your life? If you look deep within, what do you find truly important? How would you like to treat yourself and those around you?

ACT brings you in contact with that which truly matters in the bigger picture. It’s about your deepest wishes of how you would like to behave and what you would like to do in your short time on this planet. Once this is clear you can lead, motivate and inspire yourself by these values in the things you do. It’s about mindful and conscious doing: you do things with your full awareness while you open yourself for the experience and truly participate in what you're doing. The goal of ACT is to increase your ability to be conscious and led by your values to go through life. We call this having psychological flexibility.

By embracing acceptance and committing to living a life guided by personal values, you go on a journey of self-discovery and transformation. No longer will you be burdened by the need to control or avoid discomfort, but you can live  a life of authenticity, connection, and purpose. ACT provides the tools to navigate life's challenges gracefully and find fulfillment even in the face of adversity.

One-on-One coaching

During Acceptance and Commitment Therapy coaching we will use different tools to help you navigate to what you truly want out of life. Questions we will raise and investigate can be;

  • What are your core values?

  • What truly drives and motivates you in life to get things done?

  • What are the things that hold you back?

  • What are your stressors?

  • Which habits would you like to cultivate that can help you to achieve the goals you have?

ACT can support with;

  • Burn-out

  • Depression

  • Stress

  • Fear

  • The search for sense and meaning

  • Work related problems

  • Grief

  • Trauma

Tools we use can look like mindfulness techniques, meditation, writing, physical movement/yoga etc. As the word ACT already says it, is this way of coaching about making you do things. With ACT you get in charge of your life, you will be the one to make the difference and once you feel this self confident (again) you will realize what you’re capable of.

This way of coaching is all about (re)discovering what’s already there and that there’s nothing wrong with you to begin with. It’s about accepting yourself and living fully in the moment with confidence and trust in life and the choices you make.

For me this way of coaching and guiding makes sense as it resonates with my years of experience I gained out of my devoted yoga and mindfulness practice.

Caoching sessions

  • We start with an intake call of 45 min, setting out the start

  • Once per 3 or 4 weeks we have a meeting of 1 hour (in person or online)

  • Each session includes different practices, inquiry and or assignments suited to the topic

  • You will get tools with you home to practice with

  • The sessions include recorded meditations, worksheets etc.

  • During the coaching process you can contact me when questions, doubts etc arise. I’m available for extra guidance.

  • Together we will set the amount of sessions to start with.

  • Online sessions |135 CHF per hour

  • Sessions in person depend on the location & travel costs
